Every boutique studio has felt it. January is packed. By June, a third of those faces are gone, and not because anyone got angry or asked for a refund. They just drifted. The uncomfortable part is that most studio software cannot see it coming, because most studio software was never built to. It was built to run the transaction: publish the calendar, take the booking, charge the card. Useful work. But booking a class is not the same as showing up to it, and the members you lose by month six are a showing-up problem, not a booking one.
That gap is why we built levelooh, and it is the honest place to start any comparison with the tools you already know.
Most studio software optimizes the transaction. We optimized the return visit.
Mindbody, Mariana Tek, Glofox and the rest are mature, broad and good at what they do: scheduling, bookings, billing, rosters, reporting. That is table stakes, and levelooh does it too. Classes, schedules, calendar bookings, instructors, members, payments, packages, memberships, courts and studio finance all live in one app. We are not asking you to run a second tool on the side.
The difference is what the software is pointed at. A booking system is designed around the moment money changes hands. levelooh is designed around the moment a member walks back through your door for the tenth week running. The same operations underneath, a completely different thing being measured and rewarded.
Reward showing up. Don't just penalize skipping.
Ask most booking tools how they protect attendance and the answer is a fee: a late-cancel charge, a no-show penalty. That is a stick, and a stick only ever shrinks a behavior. It tells a member what happens when they fail, never why they should come.
levelooh flips the switch. The lever is the reward, and it fires on the positive act: a verified check-in earns XP, advances a streak, moves a level, and puts you on the studio leaderboard. We would rather grow the habit than punish the lapse. That single choice, rewarding the show-up loop instead of fining the miss, is the heart of why attendance earns XP in the first place.
The game is built in, not bolted on
There is another way studios reach for engagement today: bolt a loyalty or points app onto the booking system. Now you are running two products, two logins, two support queues, and the points usually reward spending rather than showing up. Studios do not want five tools duct-taped together.
In levelooh the game is native. XP, levels, streaks, leaderboards and the Trophy Room read the exact same verified check-in that runs your class roster. One system, one source of truth, one login. The retention layer is not a plugin you maintain, it is the product.
Verified attendance is the whole point
Everything in levelooh hangs off a real check-in, not a reservation and not a receipt. A class a member booked and skipped earns nothing. That is deliberate: it is the same anti-cheat spine that keeps the XP ledger honest, and it is what makes the retention signal trustworthy. A reward system that pays out for booking a spot, or for dollars spent, is measuring the wrong thing, and it will happily tell you a drifting member is thriving.
Transparent pricing, and members never pay
levelooh is one flat price for the whole studio: CA$59 per month as a founding-studio offer, with unlimited members. There is no per-member fee, so your software bill does not climb as your community grows, and members join free. Before you commit a dollar, a 90-day trial gives you a full season to watch your own churn number move.
Compare that to the shape of the category, not to any one price tag: incumbents tend toward quote-based deals, or a base plan plus add-ons that stack up as you switch on rewards, a branded app, or more members. Our pricing is deliberately boring and public, because the retention math only works if you can see it.
Who should not switch
We will be straight about our lane. If you run an enterprise chain that needs deep corporate billing, payroll, or a global client marketplace, the big incumbents have a decade head start, and that is a fair reason to stay. levelooh is built for the independent boutique, the studio of fifty to a few hundred members whose real problem is not scheduling, it is people quietly slipping away between month one and month six. If that is the leak that keeps you up, then retention-first software is the right tool, not a nicer calendar.
Booking software fills the calendar. We wanted software that fills the room, and keeps filling it in June.
